The Sauber F1 Team is pleased to announce the extension of its partnership with NetApp, a global leader in storage and data management. After a successful three-year collaboration with NetApp, this year marks the fourth consecutive year the Sauber F1 Team has worked with the company as a Technical Partner.

NetApp provides the Sauber F1 Team a reliable, flexible and unified storage infrastructure for all IT services involving engineering, business and administration at its headquarter in Hinwil, as well during the Formula One weekends around the globe.

In 2007 the Sauber F1 Team and NetApp started working together, building up their partnership in early 2012 when NetApp became Technical Partner of the Sauber F1 Team. This year NetApp provided the Sauber F1 Team with an upgrade to a system of the FAS8000 series, which delivers significantly higher performance and an increased storage capacity.

Monisha Kaltenborn, Team Principal, Sauber F1 Team: "The Sauber F1 Team and NetApp – a perfect match. Both companies stand for efficiency, productivity and optimisation. Since the start of our partnership we have greatly benefitted from NetApp storage and data management systems. The quality and quantity of the new system doubled our storage capacity as well as tripled our data access performance. We are pleased to continue our successful collaboration and look forward to strengthening our long-term partnership even more."

Manfred Reitner, Senior Vice President & General Manager EMEA, NetApp: "I am very pleased to see the partnership with Sauber F1 Team extended. This is a fantastic example of data driving innovation. By relying on a very high-performance and flexible storage solution, the Sauber F1 Team always has insights into its latest research & development findings and race data. This allows for constant optimisation on track – while delivering maximum efficiency to all business applications."
