Formula One drivers will take on a race of endurance this weekend.
As well as being one of the longest races on the calender, often finishing close to the two hour limit, it is also one of the most physically demanding.
One standout statistic for the Singapore Grand Prix is that drivers will end up losing around three kilograms in bodyweight due to the physical nature of the circuit and the oppressive heat of Singapore, making the consumption of fluids before the race vital.
Formula 1 drivers get the weekend a lot to choose. The Singapore circuit is one of the toughest stops on the calendar. The race is exhausting in the heat and high humidity. Moreover, it is often one of the longest matches of the year.
The 3.147 mile circuit features 23 turns and 49% of the lap is spent at full throttle. Daniel Ricciardo currently holds the lap record around the circuit, which was reprofiled in 2015, with a time of 1 minute 50.041 seconds, set during last year's race.
