The Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One Team is delighted to welcome Schuberth, based in Magdeburg, Germany, to the team as an Official Supplier for the 2015 season onwards. A leading manufacturer at the forefront of the development and production of head protection systems, Schuberth has worked closely with Mercedes AMG Petronas to develop a new helmet designed to protect the team's crew members as they take part in Formula One pit stops.

The new helmet, which will debut at the Australian Grand Prix, features the Schuberth-patented seamless inside and a carbon fibre outer layer, resulting in a first-class helmet to ensure the highest levels of safety and head protection. Schuberth will also make the model available as a high-end helmet for winter sports purposes from Autumn 2015 to expand its already impressive product portfolio.

Jan-Christian Becker, Managing Director, Schuberth: "Being given the opportunity to support the Formula One World Champion team, Mercedes AMG Petronas, makes us very proud. Working together with the team, we have developed a new, tailor-made helmet to the highest level of safety. Our commitment in Formula One enables us to keep improving our products and to set new benchmarks over and over again."

Toto Wolff, Head of Mercedes-Benz Motorsport: "We are delighted to be working with Schuberth as an Official Team Supplier. The development of safety protection and procedures in Formula One is at the forefront of our business and to have the opportunity to partner with one of the world's leading helmet manufacturers is both a great privilege and benefit for our team. We look forward to working ever closer with Schuberth to further develop their innovative products."
